LOS ANGELES, CA - DECEMBER 15: NIP+FAB Photo Call with NIP+FAB President and Founder Maria Hatzistefanis and Kylie Jenner on December 15, 2015 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Vivien Killilea/Getty Images for Rodial)Nip+Fab has just announced Kylie Jenner as its ambassador once again much to her delight. She describes the products as “cute, effective and super easy to use”, so when Nip+Fab got in touch with me, I couldn’t wait to try out some of the products!

Here are the products I have tried out, along with my thoughts and also what Kylie said about them:

Dragon’s Blood Serum, £19.95

“In the morning I always use the Dragons Blood Serum as it is an amazing base for my make-up and is super moisturising.” – Kylie Jenner

Hyaluronic acid and delicate velvet flower blend together for an intensive hydrating effect that leaves skin feeling comforted and looking plumper with the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles reduced. Luckily I don’t have too many lines to fill in at the moment, but Kylie’s right in that it is a fantastic base for make-up. I wore it underneath my New Year’s Eve make-up and it stayed put all night!

Kale Fix Moisturiser, £19.95

“I feel myself the most myself when I do my own make up, I moisturise with Kale Fix Moisturiser and finish with Dragons Blood Serum.” – Kylie Jenner

This is a daily moisturiser to help soften and comfort dry skin. A superfood powerhouse complex of kale, watercress and almond oil enrich skin with deep vitamin nourishment. It smells lovely. It goes on quite thickly which I was worried about in case it left an oily finish. Luckily, it is absorbed quickly and left my skin feeling moisturised under my make-up.

Kale Fix Clay Mask, £12.96

“I travel a lot so I like to use the Kale Fix Mask to get my skin hydrated again.” – Kylie Jenner

This supercharged nourishing clay face mask is enriched with minerals and witch hazel and works to draw away impurities without drying the skin. This was a lovely mask to use – it felt fresh on the skin and dried fairly quickly. My face felt fresh rather than dried as some clay masks can feel. It’s now part of my weekly routine!

Effective and affordable, Nip+Fab is available from Boots and Superdrug or nipandfab.com.

What time is it? Time to invest in an O.W.L watch…

– this post contains gifted products –

IMG_4533I haven’t worn a watch for years, instead relying on the clock on my iPhone which is practical, but not altogether glamorous! At the tail-end of last year, I found myself looking online at fabulous Michael Kors watches and other über pretty arm candy, considering becoming a real grown up with a watch.

However, when O.W.L got in touch with me, I realised I’d been looking in the wrong places! O.W.L watches are an exciting up-and-coming brand, as seen recently on the wrists of Jessica Wright, Harry Judd, Peter Andre and Lauren Murray.

O.W.L’s Founder Annette Allen has designed a ladies collection which is beautiful, feminine and trend driven and which combines British elegance and contemporary styling. O.W.L concepts and designs come from beautiful old towns and wooden church pews worn from years of use, to great stately homes, the sumptuous fabrics and old leather bound books of their interiors.

I chose the Rose and Tan watch from the Richmond Collection – it is BEAUTIFUL! The Richmond features an 33mm diameter rose gold stainless steel case with double layered dial in a silver sunray finish. The hand applied Roman Numerals and indexes in rose gold and O.W.L branding complete the dial. A domed lens adds to the vintage feel of the watch as does the use of beautiful tan premium leather with added detailing on both straps.

It sits on my wrist nicely and offers plenty of notches to ensure anyone can get the perfect fit. It goes with anything and I got several compliments over the Christmas period. The materials used and the the finish make you feel that you are wearing a very special watch.

Each watch is packaged in a luxurious gift box inspired by Victorian travel cases that makes for a fantastic keepsake – I’ve simply taken the cushion out and am now using it for earrings and rings; it makes a lovely addition to my dressing table.

In addition, All O.W.L watches come with a two year guarantee and is water resistant to 3 ATM, nice to know when I’m almost up to my wrists in the washing up!

John Frieda Beach Blonde Detangling Conditioner || LOVE

I am extremely disloyal to conditioner brands, always have been.Screen Shot 2015-12-01 at 20.32.44

I’m always very open to trying something new but there are a few things I stick to because I know they work best for me. Garnier Cleansing Wipes to remove my make up for example, or NARS Sheer Glow Foundation. If it ain’t broke, why fix it?

For love nor money, I can’t stick to a conditioner. Every time I need to replace one I scour the aisles for the next best thing. I’ve tried all the hype brands for my hair – Aussie, Bed Head, Kerátase. Remember when Horse Shampoo was a thing? Yeah.

There’s always something a bit off. I’ve got very fine hair, but a lot of it. Since I cut five inches off in the Summer, it’s already in a much better condition. However, conditioners often leave my hair dry as a bone or on the flip side, greasy as heeeell. Either stuck to my head or flying all over the place with static. There’s no in-between. The closest I’ve got to a good conditioner that really works for me is Herbal Essence’s Fresh Balance (luv u babes).

BUT I’VE FOUND SOMETHING. John Frieda Beach Blonde Smooth Seas Detangling Conditioner.

I picked a mini travel bottle of this up at Gatwick when we went to Amsterdam. There wasn’t much choice and I didn’t care anyway (I mean, we were going to Amsterdam!). However, I used it once on holiday and used it until it ran out when I got home. I don’t even care to admit that I used a cotton bud to get the last bit out.

I have never really liked ‘blonde’ shampoos, often finding they make my hair dry – but not this one. Aside from its namesake detangling properties, it gives my hair a sheen, and I don’t have to wash my hair for a couple of days whereas usually my hair would get very greasy (seriously – I could keep Batiste in the stock market single-handedly). My hair never usually holds on to scent either, but this conditioner smells fresh, like mint but not quite – and clings to my hair steadfastly. I LOVE it.

Everyone needs a change now and then – but I don’t mind settling down with John Frieda for a while!

£5.99 full size, or £1.99 for the travel size. Buy it now instore or online.
