LOS ANGELES, CA - DECEMBER 15: NIP+FAB Photo Call with NIP+FAB President and Founder Maria Hatzistefanis and Kylie Jenner on December 15, 2015 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Vivien Killilea/Getty Images for Rodial)Nip+Fab has just announced Kylie Jenner as its ambassador once again much to her delight. She describes the products as “cute, effective and super easy to use”, so when Nip+Fab got in touch with me, I couldn’t wait to try out some of the products!

Here are the products I have tried out, along with my thoughts and also what Kylie said about them:

Dragon’s Blood Serum, £19.95

“In the morning I always use the Dragons Blood Serum as it is an amazing base for my make-up and is super moisturising.” – Kylie Jenner

Hyaluronic acid and delicate velvet flower blend together for an intensive hydrating effect that leaves skin feeling comforted and looking plumper with the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles reduced. Luckily I don’t have too many lines to fill in at the moment, but Kylie’s right in that it is a fantastic base for make-up. I wore it underneath my New Year’s Eve make-up and it stayed put all night!

Kale Fix Moisturiser, £19.95

“I feel myself the most myself when I do my own make up, I moisturise with Kale Fix Moisturiser and finish with Dragons Blood Serum.” – Kylie Jenner

This is a daily moisturiser to help soften and comfort dry skin. A superfood powerhouse complex of kale, watercress and almond oil enrich skin with deep vitamin nourishment. It smells lovely. It goes on quite thickly which I was worried about in case it left an oily finish. Luckily, it is absorbed quickly and left my skin feeling moisturised under my make-up.

Kale Fix Clay Mask, £12.96

“I travel a lot so I like to use the Kale Fix Mask to get my skin hydrated again.” – Kylie Jenner

This supercharged nourishing clay face mask is enriched with minerals and witch hazel and works to draw away impurities without drying the skin. This was a lovely mask to use – it felt fresh on the skin and dried fairly quickly. My face felt fresh rather than dried as some clay masks can feel. It’s now part of my weekly routine!

What time is it? Time to invest in an O.W.L watch…

– this post contains gifted products –

IMG_4533I haven’t worn a watch for years, instead relying on the clock on my iPhone which is practical, but not altogether glamorous! At the tail-end of last year, I found myself looking online at fabulous Michael Kors watches and other über pretty arm candy, considering becoming a real grown up with a watch.

However, when O.W.L got in touch with me, I realised I’d been looking in the wrong places! O.W.L watches are an exciting up-and-coming brand, as seen recently on the wrists of Jessica Wright, Harry Judd, Peter Andre and Lauren Murray.

O.W.L’s Founder Annette Allen has designed a ladies collection which is beautiful, feminine and trend driven and which combines British elegance and contemporary styling. O.W.L concepts and designs come from beautiful old towns and wooden church pews worn from years of use, to great stately homes, the sumptuous fabrics and old leather bound books of their interiors.

I chose the Rose and Tan watch from the Richmond Collection – it is BEAUTIFUL! The Richmond features an 33mm diameter rose gold stainless steel case with double layered dial in a silver sunray finish. The hand applied Roman Numerals and indexes in rose gold and O.W.L branding complete the dial. A domed lens adds to the vintage feel of the watch as does the use of beautiful tan premium leather with added detailing on both straps.

It sits on my wrist nicely and offers plenty of notches to ensure anyone can get the perfect fit. It goes with anything and I got several compliments over the Christmas period. The materials used and the the finish make you feel that you are wearing a very special watch.

Each watch is packaged in a luxurious gift box inspired by Victorian travel cases that makes for a fantastic keepsake – I’ve simply taken the cushion out and am now using it for earrings and rings; it makes a lovely addition to my dressing table.

In addition, All O.W.L watches come with a two year guarantee and is water resistant to 3 ATM, nice to know when I’m almost up to my wrists in the washing up!

Visit the website to get your own beautiful watch and check out O.W.L’s newest collection ‘Greenwich’ here.

Happy New Year!

May 2016 be all you wish it to be.

Christmas Tag || 10 Questions

RedandWhiteFeltChristmas is right around the corner, so I thought I’d do the Christmas tag I’ve been seeing a lot of bloggers doing – I’ve really enjoyed reading them all. If you’d like to do it too, just copy and paste the questions and fill them out – let me know and I’ll take a look!

Happy Christmas!

What is your favourite Christmas movie/s?

I can’t choose! I have three and they are all equally nostalgic for me:

  1. The Muppet Christmas Carol
AMAZING film, I think I actually know all the words. I used to have to hide behind the sofa though when Scrooge shouts at Mr Cratchit – it terrified me! You can see the bit that scared me here.
  2. Jingle All the Way
My brother and I used to get this out of the video shop (yeah I know, how old are we?) all the time, even when it wasn’t Christmas! It gets better with age as there are so many adult jokes and insinuations you miss as a child. I think Arnold needs to add ‘Turbo Man’ to his Twitter bio, immediately.
  3. The Wizard of Oz
    Because of course…#boxingdayhangover

Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
We have always opened them on Christmas morning. I worked in a German restaurant and it seemed to be the general consensus that Germans open them on Christmas Eve. But, just…no!

Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
I got Sparkly Barbie AND Gymnast Barbie one year – that was an absolute bumper Christmas. We’ve got it on video and I can still remember how happy I was. My brother was also too little to open his presents, so I got to open all his, too! Win.

Favourite festive food?
OBVIOUSLY pigs in blankets. There are NEVER enough. I’m going HAM this year. Heh. Get it? Sorry.

Favourite Christmas gift?
I’ve had so many great presents over the years; I’ve not once been disappointed. I suppose the best present I’ve ever had is my Kindle. I’m such a bloody bookworm and I use it every day – I received it about four years ago now!

Favourite Christmas scent?
The Christmas candles by Yankee Candle are the BEST. I love a candle – cinnamon ones are top of the list.

Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
Now we’re older, the tradition has just turned into getting pissed (!) but we used to leave Santa a mince pie and a carrot for Rudolph every year. We also have always had stockings with the same bits and pieces in them, but it wouldn’t be Christmas otherwise: a satsuma, some sweets, a chocolate Santa, some chocolate coins, a little gift and a pound coin.

What tops your tree?
It has always been an angel. At home we’ve got this MASSIVE golden angel I begged for when I was little – we’ve had her at the top ever since.

As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
I never really wanted anything crazy like a pony, but one year I asked for loads of ‘play home’ stuff from Argos. Things like fake washing machines, ironing boards, and a play kitchen. I have NO idea why; maybe I liked the idea of playing house. I still do. By the way, I never got those things. I think my mum told me to get a life and ask for a Baby Annabel or something normal.

What’s the best part about Christmas for you?
The general atmosphere, the tradition and of course the laughter. You can’t be angry on Christmas! I live away from my family as I stayed in London after uni, so Christmas is a special time.

What’s your favourite thing about Christmas?

Superdrug || B. Makeup Brush Cleanser

Screen Shot 2015-12-08 at 11.11.24I’ve needed a proper brush cleanser for ages, too often just scrubbing them with baby shampoo once in a while (which does the trick, but it’s nice to get the real deal, you know?)

I’d gone to buy Real Techniques Brush Cleanser but it was unfortunately not in stock. I went for the next best thing: Superdrug’s B. Makeup Brush Cleanser, which was almost half the price than the Real Techniques product I had originally wanted due to a deal on.

All you have to do is spray the product directly onto the bristles of the brushes and then work into a cloth or tissue – it’s really satisfying, actually. An added bonus is that the spray doesn’t just remove the make up, it also contains a sanitiser so that you know your brushes are really clean.

I was pleasantly surprised with the product when cleansing my brushes. The picture below is of my Sigma SS217 (now E25) brush after about 30 seconds of cleaning and it came up even cleaner after spraying a little more product on it. It doesn’t have a particularly pleasant smell, but this soon disappears and the brushes dry really quickly.

Crucially, the spray is suitable for both natural and synthetic brushes, which is a bonus. The only downside is that you definitely have to spray more than the three to five squirts the bottle recommends, but I suppose that depends on how dirty your brushes are (and mine well totally unclean).

Overall, it’s a useful bargain that works – you can’t argue with that. Now I’ve got no excuse for dirty brushes!
